Jocelyne Vautour fell in love with photography five years ago, after borrowing her brother’s camera. In 2003, while studying Applied Photography at CCNB Dieppe, she was named Student of the Year by the Maritime Professional Photographers Association, an honour she earned again this past year.
When Jocelyne graduated from CCNB, she got a contract to do a cd cover. “I had never done graphic design in my life. I really liked it but also realized that if I wanted this, as well as photography, I would need to learn more — quickly! Jocelyne decided to study Graphic Design at McKenzie College.
Jocelyne recalls, “A businessman here in town told me the way to become successful was to distinguish myself from the competition – to offer something no one else offers.” The 25 year old is using her photographic skills, graphic design training and innate creativity to accomplish this goal.
